# We don't have resources to implement a new solutions
## How long does it take to become productive with Shield?
The appliance can be installed and running in minutes. After connecting Shield OnPremise between a firewall and the network, it immediately examines every packet and blocks communications to and from malicious sites.
This is typically looked at with skepticism which we are proud of. For tools to be effective they must be easy to implement and use for your most junior team members.
